RMM Pipe Band in Scotland 2014

Summer 2014: I had the privilege of going with the RMM Pipe Band to Scotland as their drum instructor. We played at three competitions including the World Pipe Band Championships. We stayed in Stirling-a beautiful city.The band placed third and first in competitions and fifth in their grade at the World Championships. To my students: I could not be more proud of you. You worked hard, kept your enthusiasm on full and put your absolute best performance on the field and all of the shows you played in between. Parents: to quote a mentor of mine “you are more than transportation”. You gave the kids fabulous support and it would not have happened without your dedication. A special shout out to Ernie and Susan Mix for all their efforts in coordinating the events. To my fellow instructors, Kim Em, Rob Menzies, Andrew Lee, Al Bevan; it was a pleasure working with you. And last but not least, my fellow instructors and men in charge, Jack Lee and J. Reid Maxwell; thanks for having me along on this great trip and for all of your support.
